The Softride Dura 4-bike carrier features a tilting parallelogram design that keeps the rack arms level and the bikes upright at all times. This design allows you to keep your bikes on the rack when you tilt it forward, saving you the hassle of having to remove the bikes every time you need to get to your rear cargo area. The arms of the Dura maintain a straight angle as the rack moves away from the vehicle, keeping your bikes in an upright position. This prevents your bikes from dipping close to the ground as you tilt the rack away from your vehicle.

The Dura has 2 parallel upright bars that move together to create the unique tilting parallelogram design.

Rugged tie-down straps safely secure your bikes to the soft, rubberized cradles on the bike carrier's dual arms. And anti-sway devices grab each bike at a third point. This keeps your bikes from swaying front to back, preventing bike-to-bike and bike-to-vehicle contact. Safety reflectors at the end of each arm provide nighttime visibility.

A spring-loaded, quick-release pull pin handle is easily accessible near the top of the upright mast. Simply pull it out to allow the rack to tilt away from your vehicle, providing access to your trunk or cargo area.

The bike carrier's arms can be removed for convenient storage - simply slide the quick-release buttons located on the back of the steel top plate. The optional Softride wall-mounted bike storage station (sold separately) holds the removed arms and your bikes when you're not on the trail.
