THE 40-year-old lives in Gloucestershire with her actor partner Keith Allen and their daughter Teddie Rose, eight
Not a lot of people know this but I’m very good at… painting. I work with oils and mainly do portraits. I’ve always painted, but I’ve started to have exhibitions, get commissions and sell my work.
My best friend is… I don’t really do “best” but I’ve got a number of great friends. Some I’ve known since I was 10, some are actors and some have children at my daughter’s school. You collect different friends at different times of life.
My nickname is… at school it was Tarzan – because it begins with T and has a Z in it. Then I was Dame Tizzy when I was in the show Teachers.
The bravest thing I’ve ever done is… take Teddie to one of the muddiest Glastonbury festivals when she’d just learned to crawl.
My favourite TV show is… currently The Legacy on Sky Arts – a Nordic family saga from the creators of The Killing and Borgen. My perfect evening is… at home with a roaring fire, full belly, bottle of wine and great TV. I’m quite a good cook, but really enjoy it when somebody else takes over. Keith’s spaghetti Bolognese is great.
My first kiss was with… Samuel Bond. I must’ve been six or seven. I had no idea what I was doing and it was really wet and weird.
The one thing I’d change about myself is… my Hobbit feet – they’re flat and furry.
The best thing my parents taught me was… good manners and a sense of decency. It’s about respect for other people. You’re only aware of these things when you meet people who don’t have those life skills.
The last time I cried was… reading The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy by Rachel Joyce. It’s set in a hospice and is a companion book to The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. I howled through both. I can’t recommend them enough.
The first record I ever bought was… probably by Adam and the Ants or Wham. though I used to go wild for Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick by Ian Dury and the Blockheads.
It’s not good for my image but I like… watching America’s Next Top Model. There I am with my oil painting, trying to be high-brow, but at times you just want to watch utter tosh.
If I could pass any law I would… limit advertising – it blares out wherever you go. We don’t need or want what they’re selling and know it doesn’t make us happy.
The shop I can’t walk past is… Trading Post – a record shop in Stroud. My friend Simon runs it and he’d think me rude if I didn’t stop for a chat.
My perfect Sunday is… pink roast beef, Yorkshire puds, baked onions and lots of horseradish, cooked by someone else while I lounge in bed with the papers and a bottle of red.
My favourite place in Britain is… the Golden Valley in Gloucestershire – where I grew up and where I live now. Hills, beech woods and autumn colours – it’s beautiful.
The best day of my life was… having a home birth with Teddie. But I don’t think I felt that at the time. It’d been a three-day labour!
