This is the tenth annual running of the King of the Mountain Road Race benefiting Good Shepherd School on Lookout Mountain. The four-mile run is a competitive event on a course with rolling hills and a fast downhill finish over the last mile and a half. The course runs along the east and west brows of Lookout Mountain and passes the Incline, historic Point Park and Sunset Rock.

The top male and female finishers overall and masters (age 40 and over) and the top 3 males and females in each of seven age-groups will receive awards.

Race T-shirts with the unique King of the Mountain Logo will be available for all preregistered participants. A random drawing will be held to award door prizes as well. Must be present to win.

4-mile - $25.00 by May 6. $30 May 7 and after. 1-Mile Fun-run/Walk- $15.00 by May 6. $20 May 7 and after.

All proceeds from this event will go to the scholarship fund for Good Shepherd School. This fund enables children to attend who would not otherwise be able to do so. Good Shepherd School is a pre-school dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and exciting learning experience that fosters the spiritual, educational, and social development of individuals, and prepares each child for life-long learning.

Late Registration and Packet Pick-Up begins at 6:45 a.m. The 4 mile road race begins at 8:15 a.m. and the Mountain Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Lookout Mountain Commons. Take Scenic Highway up Lookout Mountain (passing Ruby Falls) and stay on Scenic Highway until you come to a fountain on the road. The Commons is just beyond the fountain.
